DAY 4 AT THE ISBHF WORLDS

The ISBHF Ball Hockey World Championships continued with Day 4 action as the Preliminary Round reached the penultimate day.
Katerina Nemcova scored the winning shootout goal as Team Czech Republic defeated Team Canada 1-0 in the Women’s division. Team Czech Republic goalie Katerina Zechovska made 32 saves for the shutout. Goalie Julianna Thomson made 33 saves for Team Canada. Team Slovakia was a 3-1 winner over Team Great Britain as Emilia Leskovjanska scored the game winning goal. Goalie Stephanie towns made 38 saves for Team Great Britain.

In the Men’s division Team Greece beat Team Italy 4-2 as Steven Alvo scored the game winning goal and an assist. Daniel Vernace scored both goals for Team Italy. Mario Paulik contributed 3 assists as Team Switzerland defeated Team Haiti 9-1. Patrick Raphael had the lone goal for Team Haiti. Denny Schlegel scored 3 goals for the hat trick to lead Team USA to a 12-1 victory over Team Great Britain. Gregory Ferrington scored for Team Great Britain. Jan Bily scored 2 goals and assisted on another 2 goals as Team Czech Republic defeated Team Finland 7-2 to remain undefeated in Group A1.

Sean Lam scored the game winning goal and goalie Matthew Lui made 18 saves to lead Team Hong Kong to a 2-1 win over Team Armenia. Matthew Kabassakalian scored the goal for Team Armenia. Chris Merritt had a goal and an assist as Team Bermuda defeated Team Lebanon 3-1. Michael Zarzour had the lone marker for Team Lebanon.
